Minority Report clip

 1) Pick three aspects of camera movement in the Minority Report clip. Identify the type of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience.

tilt; When the guy was on the bed the camera slightly started to tilt up and down and also to the side, showing what positions the guy was in due to the intense things happening which lead to danger and horrific things going on.

pan: This image shows how bothy of them were fighting and and how the movement moved to both left and right. this created the feeling of action, how the characters were doing things in speed which had the pan movement follow and follow the action.
two shot: This movement viewed two of the characters together in the frame clearly, showing there whole body and what they was doing. This movement suggests there was something tragic about to happen, due to the way things were going on.

2) Pick two aspects of editing in the Minority Report clip and write about what effect it has on the audience.

The affect it has on the audience is strange as everything in this video happens so intensely and maybe can lead the audience confused as they do not know why they are all after the guy, everything in this clip happens so fast, many people maybe couldn't of been able to catch up.

3) Finally, revise last week's work on camerawork by picking out two shots or camera angles in the clip that communicate meaning to the audience.

two shot: This can show 2 characters simply in the frame clearly, showing there whole body.
pan: how the person follows the exact direction such as left and right or up and down following there exact movements.

Extension task

Linked above is a video from Studio Binder on camera movements - read their webpage on this topic and you'll learn about this in even more detail.

You can then look at their section on editing
